Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, deems necessary to adopt the law on the principles of domestic and foreign policy to define general lines in the foreign policy.
Speaking with the journalists in Dnipropetrovsk, Volodymyr Lytvyn stated that Ukraine should exert every effort to approach European standards.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine believes that the Parliament "should elaborate the Law that corresponds to the interests of citizens, not the BYuT, the Party of Regions or "Our Ukraine" and reflects the concerns of the entire country".
V.Lytvyn supposes that developing relations both the West, and Russia, Ukraine "should discern the benefits for our country, the ways to provide national security and establish economic cooperation".
